In 2024 over 50 houses and venues from Eye took part in the very first 'Window Wanderland'. Over 300 families from the village travelled over three nights to see displays which featured animations, superheroes and Dr Seuss. It was such a success and so many people asked for it to come back. This year we at Eye Creative Hub (a set of volunteers from the village) will be co running the event with Peterborough Presents.
Please save the following dates when Window Wanderland will take place:
- Friday the 17th of October and Saturday the 18th of October
- 6-8pm.
There will also be making workshops leading up to the event. These will be held on:
- Saturday the 13th & Sunday 14th September
- 10am- 3pm
- at the Leeds hall on the high street.

It's a
magical evening walk around the village and an opportunity to enjoy colourful
displays in the windows and gardens of Eye neighbours and businesses. It's a project that encourages communities to
come together to light up their neighbourhood and to create some shiny joy in
the darkest part of the year.

How can residents from Eye or Eye Green get involved?
If you are from Eye and can spare a window and are willing to have it lit up for two nights in October then we invite you to join in with this year's Window Wanderland.
Window displays can be anything, from a single candle lit in memory of a loved one to interactive displays that invite participation from the passing audience. What is in the windows is up to you. We welcome all creative ideas, however we request that NO flashing, flickering, or fast moving light effects are used in window displays as these can present a seizure risk to some people.
Or if you want to volunteer, we might need help with making hot chocolate, handing out maps and supporting the workshops.
